Job Description

  • Implement a curriculum to teach computer programming, e.g. Scratch, Python, and JavaScript to kids and teens aged 8 to 16.
  • Supervision of program participants, classroom management, and maintaining a positive, productive learning environment.
  • Cultivate positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children, and other staff.

Skills/Experience

  • College juniors/seniors/graduates from Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar fields.  
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proficient programming and coding skills. Experience with hardware (Raspberry Pi/ Arduino) is a plus.
  • Mature, reliable, and enthusiastic about teaching computer science.
  • Able to make complex concepts clear to young learners.
  • Patient and able to manage multiple types of learners in the same session.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to wear many hats and a “can do” attitude.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
